LIVE-IN RESIDENTS

MOAI is situated on a one acre parcel and has limited room and board for six permanent residents.  Individualized care and flexible scheduling encourages participation with all ADL’s to allow for the resident’s needs to be satisfied with the utmost independence.  24 hour, on-site personnel ensure the safety and comfort of the residents and safety protocols are in place to ensure all visitors are adequately screened prior to access to premises.

Private, single or shared room occupancy with internet and  TV

Observation

Observation for changes in physical, emotional and social functioning

Food

Three daily nutritious meals;  Healthy snacks, Adherence to special diet as prescribed by doctor

Notifications

Notification to designated representative, physician, and other appropriate person/agency of change in resident’s needs 

Companionship

Empathetic and involved support staff provide comfort and
friendship. 

Assistance

Assistance with activities of daily living as needed to optimize independence:

  • Toileting

  • Grooming

  • Eating

  • Dressing

  • Mobility

  • Daily dry skin maintenance

  • Hydration monitoring and encouragement

  • Assistance with personal activities

Transportation

Transportation to medical/dental appointments

Medical Management

  • Bedside care and tray service for minor, temporary illness or surgery recovery

  • Proper medication storage and distribution

  • Assistance with taking self administered medications

  • Assistance with meeting necessary medical and dental needs

Supervision

Maintenance or supervision of cash resources

Cleaning and Supplies

  • Supply of hygiene items of general use, such as hand soap and toilet paper

  • Clean bed linens weekly

  • Clean bath linens as needed

  • Regular cleaning of room

  • Laundering of personal clothes
